Newport Italian Restaurant: A Focus on Fresh

Acqua Pazza
Bello by Sandro Nardone is the preeminent Newport Italian Restaurant. Opened in November 2019, Bello specializes in handmade pasta, wood oven fired pizza, and impeccably made Italian specialties you are unlikely to find at other restaurants. One of our most popular dishes? The Acqua Pazza, made with fresh Branzino, fish stock, baby heirloom tomatoes, chopped parsley and lemon. Guests come from far and wide to enjoy this light and delicious seafood plate.
What’s more, the kitchen team hand makes each and every pasta offered on the menu. Those who visit around lunch can see cooks hard at work rolling pasta dough. It’s not uncommon to see racks of pasta drying in the kitchen. We believe our hand-made pasta really sets Bello apart from other pasta restaurants in the Back Bay area.
Also worth noting is the fresh produce. Our team works tirelessly to procure the most delicious, fresh produce available. Chef Zach Scherer even travels to Rancho Santa Fe weekly to visit Chino Farms. Through our relationship with Chino Farms we are able to hand select specific ingredients based on flavor, ripeness, and seasonality.
You may notice that our menu changes frequently. While it can be sad to say farewell to some of our favorite dishes, this allows us to offer the best at all times. For example, we recently retired our Osso Buco dish for the summer. While it is certainly popular, it is a bit too rich for the warm summer months. On the positive side, you may see it return in the fall as temperatures begin to cool.
Here at Bello by Sandro Nardone, we place a priority on the freshness of our ingredients and our final dishes. It fills us with great pride to know you can taste the difference. We hope you’ll join us soon to experience our authentic Italian cuisine for yourself!
